    My Story

    My photo
    John Brown
I am a freelance photojournalist and writer based in Cambodia. After spending several years as an electronic/print marketing executive in the travel industry, I decided to pursue a career as a photojournalist after witnessing the adverse living conditions of some of the residents of Southeast Asia. My work has been web and print published by various entities including Public Services International, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The World Bank, Visionary World, The Lincoln Library, Utusan Malaysia, Environment Magazine, Water and Environment Magazine, The Star (Malaysia), World Pulse and the Arup Corporation, as well as several NGO’s. Photos have been exhibited at a variety of venues including The Toronto Press Club, the 2007 Festival of the Photograph in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Melkweg Galerie, Amsterdam, The Netherlands in conjunction with the 2008 Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency. I will continue to photograph and report on issues that are important including; health, living conditions, press freedom, corporate malfeasance, governmental wrongdoing, corruption, the environment, human rights and poverty.
