Photo Not Available: Don't Surrender Your Electronic OR Digital Format Rights!

I saw a message in a Facebook group and decided it might be worth sharing with photographers everywhere.

"PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF GIVING UP YOUR ELECTRONIC OR DIGITAL FORMAT RIGHTS. READ CONTRACTS VERY CAREFULLY AND CLARIFY THE LANGUAGE. REMEMBER... THE $50.00 SALE YOU MAKE ONLINE TODAY, WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE FUTURE BECAUSE YOU GAVE UP YOUR ELECTRONIC RIGHTS OF FUTURE SALES FOR ONE TIME FEE OF $50.00. IF YOU DONT KNOW, ASK YOUR COLLEAGUES, WORTH DOING THE RESEARCH."

Telling people NO who are trying to abuse your copyright or ask for FREE PHOTOS should be the first thing a photographer learns in Photography 101.

Yes... as you probably know....but maybe other folks reading this don't...the woman who started that Facebook Group, Yunghi Kim, has been a strong advocate of our rights for quite a while...I think she was with Contact Press at one time too.....a great photographer don't you think? Cheers, JB
