While I know many people have a stereotypical view of Hawaii being a land of beautiful beaches and coconut trees, Honolulu offers the visitor a rich and diverse range of cultures to explore. In this photograph I wanted to capture a moment of solitude and the surroundings of a man who has operated this Chinese herbal medicine shop for decades.
While the population and culture is primarily Asian, Honolulu residents are a varied group who mix easily with each other and as a visitor to the islands you will be greeted with Hawaii's "Spirit of Aloha".
