The photo above is from this weeks Photography Guest of the Week is Luca Tronci representing Nicaragua. His photo story Nicaragua: Glued To Life, is posted on Gaia Photos, the new photography website that's being book marked by editors from around the globe.
Luca was born in Cagliari, Sardinia in 1966 and earned a law degree from the local university in 1992. After collaborating with several advertising photographers, Luca "abandoned" his job as a lawyer and embarked on a career as a freelance photographer in 2000.
Since then, Luca's work has appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines including; The New York Times, Famiglia Cristiana, Il Manifesto, L'unità, La Republica, l'Unione Sarda, il Giornale di Sardegna, E Polis, Interviu and many more.
Luca's has also worked in advertising production with clients such as; *S. C. P. F. (Spain), The Love Comes (Spain), Com.Unico (Italy), Addv (Italy), Yanko (Spain), Anteprima (Japan), Side Slope (Japan), and Alcoa (Italy).
Group Exhibitions include:
"Barcelona and Photography" (Museu de la Historia de la Ciudad).
2008 TRAFIC Photography Festival in el CCCB: (as a member of the photographic collective ‘Photobipolar’), Spain.
2008 FOTO8 Summer Show, Host Gallery, London, England.
2008 Festival SEVILLAFOTO '08: (as a member of the photographic collective ‘Photobipolar’), Spain.
