Cambodia's Somaly Mam has been named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People for 2009. At the age of 12 Somaly Mam was sold into sexual slavery in Cambodia. Now considered to be one of the greatest heroes in the fight to end such abhorrent practices she has been responsible for the rescue of thousands of sexual victims.
