Child labor is not a new issue in Bangladesh, but photojournalist GMB Akash takes a unique look at this vulnerable group in his photo story Bangladesh: Child Labour. The photographs are appearing on Gaia Photos, the new photography website that's being book marked by editors from around the globe.

Akash’s passion for photography began in 1996. He attended the World Press Photo seminar in Dhaka for 3 years and graduated with a BA in Photojournalism from Pathshala, Dhaka.

His work has been featured in over 45 major international publications including: Time, Sunday Times, Newsweek, Geo, Stern, Der Spiegel, The Guardian, Marie Claire, The Economist, The New Internationalist, Kontinente, Amnesty Journal, Courier International, PDN, Die Zeit, Days Japan, and Sunday Telegraph of London.

In 2007, Akash was selected as one of the world's 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch by PDN and he's won numerous awards for his work, including first place in the 2007 Gordon Parks Photography Competition.

In 2006, he was the winner of a World Press Photo Award and captured first place in the Asia Press Photo Competition in 2006 and 2007.
